One of our moms shared with us all of the humorous thoughts going through her head prior to childbirth. Can you relate to any of these when you were having your baby?

  • I am so excited, my contractions are getting closer together
  • I hope my baby is not ugly.
  • Should I go to the hospital now?
  • Did I pack everything I need in my bag?
  • Wait, where is my bag? Oh yea right by the back door where it’s been for 2 months.
  • Ouch, okay that contraction hurt.
  • Or do I have to take a poo? Am I constipated?
  • I’ll just go bounce on the yoga ball, hopefully my water will break.
  • I’m hungry.
  • OUCH, okay it’s time that HURTS.
  • Please, please, please, let me make it to the hospital.
  • OK, good I’m in the car. What the heck is my husband doing? Oh great, he wanted to say goodbye to the dogs.
  • Sure, let me fill out this giant pile of paperwork while I’m in labor, lady.
  • My social security number, what is it?
  • I really want to let this nurse have it. I am contracting, does it really matter what insurance I have?
  • Oh good the doctor is coming to break my water, I hope it doesn’t hurt.
  • Wait, I had no idea it would be that much water, did I pee too?
  • GOOD GLORY THIS HURTS.
  • I can do it, I can do it.
  • It’s been 24 hours. GIVE ME THE EPIDURAL.
  • Ah, relief. Why didn’t I get this sooner?
  • I’m hungry.
  • I really hope my husband isn’t looking down there; he’ll never get that image out of his mind.
  • I need to push, like RIGHT now.
  • Oh Thank the Lord, it's done.
  • My. Gosh. That is the most beautiful baby I’ve ever seen and it was so worth it.
