With summer here you probably want to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather with your child. What better way to do it than by supporting their curriculum with a Bird Kite you can actually fly?!

For young children, nothing compares to playing outside! Creating this fun bird kite is a great way to bring your little one some fun while reinforcing what they're learning about in the classroom. All you need is construction paper, tape, a stapler, scissors, and string or ribbon.

Directions:

  1. Fold the Paper in half, hamburger style.
  2. Fold down the sides of the paper and staple them down.
  3. Cut out and glue your beak and tail on.
  4. Punch hole in bottom and attach the string!
